Teach Me How To See Ghosts

1. I really wanna see one.

2. Hmm. I think it would be difficult to directly see them, but if you take photos at a known haunted location, you should be able to see one that way.

7. I’m a former monk, but please chant at a grave. Unless you have no sensitivity whatsoever, you should feel discomfort. If you experience this discomfort over and over, gradually the barrier between this world and the next will fade. As it does, you will sometimes be able to see something not of this world. But ghosts are always around, so once you get used to seeing them, they’re not so interesting.

23. >>7 What effect does chanting have?

24. >>23 It’s like radio taiso exercises. As you listen to the melody, you feel like you must do the exercises. The same happens with the spirits who listen to the chants.

25. >>24 Stop, lol. I’ll remember this during a funeral and start laughing.

30. >>24 Ghosts are so dumb, lol.

8. At the end of the day, the problem is the frequency of visible light. I think the fact that most people can’t see them, yet we can see them in photos, means that the spirits have wavelengths that can be captured by the frequency of analogue film but not be seen by human eyes.

9. When I used to visit a temple (Soto school), they all gathered when we were chanting. That was the first time I clearly saw them.

11. It’s the same as dreaming, so go to sleep.

12. Try not sleeping for a week. You’ll see all sorts of weird stuff. After that, if you’re lucky, your brain will break down and you’ll be able to see things.

13. I think that people are scared of dark places, so this makes them more nervous and so they imagine they see or hear things. What do you think?

14. >>13 That’s more of a spiritual disturbance than spiritual sight. When people are affected by spiritual waves, a disturbance occurs in their nerves.

15. No no, that has nothing to do with spirits. It’s just your cranial nerves. Nothing to do with ghosts. At any rate, you should just go to a grave and then chant.

17. In a sense, those with no disposition to see spirits never will. Even if they’re right next to you, you won’t notice them.

18. Do the fox’s window at a ghost spot.

19. I’m just a regular person. If you walk down a night road thinking “I want to see, I want to see, I’m scared, I’m scared,” and then peak through the ears of pampas grass, you’ll be able to see ghosts.

27. The quickest way is to nearly die. I mean, even in the moment where you strongly sense death, it’s pretty hard to do anything deliberately.

28. How many years ago did a ghost have to die so you can see it? Like, you don’t often hear people talking about seeing ghosts who died during the Tokyo air raids or whatever.

29. >>28 Because they burned up? I dunno.

32. When I’m reading a really scary story and get chills, it’s like there’s a ghost right behind me.

33. When you hear a place is haunted, then you see it as a spot where ghosts gather, but would they really visit such a dirty place? It’s just the atmosphere of said place, but in reality they are everywhere.

34. >>33 Ghosts seem like they like dirty, damp, dark places.

35. >>34 On the contrary, because we have that image of ghosts in Japan, they’ve been influenced by that and now really do act that way. I mean, ghosts overseas have legs, right?

36. If you’re just walking around, then you don’t know if it’s a spirit or a person. Apparently sometimes they even stand in line at Disneyland and such. Like there’s an unnatural gap in the line, or if you’re alone but they mistake you for a pair. Those who can see ghosts are unable to distinguish between the living and the dead.

38. Get better eyes and you can see them, lol.

40. The waterside at night. This is the point. I dunno if you have a friend or not, but if you go to a dam or pond late at night, then something weird should happen. You might hear voices or such. You could also visit the ocean, but I think you’re more likely to see something in the mountains.
