The Most Horrifying Scene in Ring Has To Be This

1: The scene where Matsushima Nanako’s son watches the video at night and she goes crazy.

3: The scene where Matsushima Nanako’s photo distorts.

4: I’m not the only one who laughs at the scene where Sadako comes out of the TV, right?

5: >>4 At the time it seriously scared me. It’s been overplayed to death now though.

11: >>5 It was seriously scary. Like, I could only watch it by peeking from the gap under my blanket.

12: >>5 The first time I saw it, it was terrifying, but now it has been played to death, huh.

6: That scene near the end was so scary it gave me goosebumps. The moment where they thought that had fixed everything, but it wasn’t over yet. It was so shocking that it sent chills down my spine. It wasn’t because the visuals that were scary, but probably because of the impact it leaves mentally in your head.

10: The scene where the son watches the video has stupidly loud background music, so I hate it.

13: That part where the girl is sitting down for an interview, and each time they replay it her face distorts and she looks at the camera more and more.

15: The scene where Matsushima goes into the well is the scariest.

19: The cursed video scene is the scariest.

20: When I see Sadako now I just laugh.

21: I don’t remember if it was the first or second movie, but there’s a scene where a hand grips a handrail on the veranda, right? That scared the crap out of me.

22: The scene where the suspect is pointing with the cloth over his face.

23: That part in Sadako’s video with the old guy with cloth on his face pointing at something.

26: I’ve read up to Loop, so Sadako isn’t scary at all to me.

29: I hate that scene where they find evidence at the bottom of the well. When I think about how Sadako must have felt down there, still alive, it scares me even now.

30: Now I just laugh when I see Sadako 3D.

32: That scene where they’re in the car to show her father the video, that’s a good one.

33: Sadako in the movies has since become her own entirely different thing to the original novels, so I want to see a new trilogy based exactly off those.

37: >>33 The Ring world takes place in virtual reality and Sadako is a computer virus. If they made that now, people would just scream, “This isn’t Sadako! Don’t make fun of the original!”

35: Sadako has been parodied all over the place now. Like, that’s more of her actual image now. But at the time, she was honestly scary.
